How I work on an active site
On site
Construction sites are dusty, busy and full of people who did not ask me to be there. So I keep it simple. I check in with the superintendent before anything spins up. I take off and land away from traffic and from anyone working. I do not fly over people. I stay in visual line of sight the whole time, and I yield to any manned aircraft immediately.
A typical visit takes under an hour on site. Most of the work happens afterward, in the edit.
Why the same spot matters
The method
Most aerial photos of a job site are one-offs. They look good and tell you nothing. The value comes from repetition. When every visit is flown from the same positions at the same altitudes, the images become a record instead of a gallery, and anyone can see exactly what changed and when.
That is the whole idea behind Stratus Check, and it is why the progress work is built around a fixed route rather than whatever looks good that day.
